What will we talk about during our first conversation?
The usual ice-breakers:
- A brief project description
- Pending deadlines (if any)
- Some background info on you and your business
- And the like
No worries. Just have it swirling in your head. It'll all come out during our talk.
How much will it cost?
It is our policy to take the initial information that we've gathered back to the studio, come up with a set of numbers, and then share that with you before delivering our proposal.
Can't you just give me a number, now?
Our policy is to first analyze the specs and the task at hand, and then come up with a best estimate. Besides, you don't want a roundabout number, now. You want a fairly accurate number, later.
Can't you just send me your proposal?
We can present our proposal in person, by phone, or webcam.
What are your terms?
For most: signed agreement + deposit... second installment... third installment... net 15.
Do you accept credit card payments?
Yes. Through PayPal.
Will you work on-site?
We prefer to work in the lovely confines of our own studio.
Will you drive / fly to our site for some face-to-face time?
Sure.
How long does it take?
Again, it all depends on the size and scope of your project. This is something we'll discuss during our initial conversations, and pin down once the project begins.
Does a design project ever take longer than expected?
Yes. As with all things, *stuff* happens.
Do you charge an additional fee for rush projects?
Yes. Anywhere from 50 - 75% of the original project estimate, depending on how much of a rush you're in.
Do you have references?
You bet. We're happy to provide them once our conversation turns serious.
I'd like to try you out beforehand. Will on work spec?
No way. Here's why.
Is there anything else I should know?
